  Yes, this hotel is a little pricy. You pay for the location, which cannot be beat. It is in walking distance from the beach and from the Santa Monica Pier. We went to the pier and picked up inexpensive mats to take to the beach instead of purchasing expensive beach towels. You may also take the pool towels from the hotel to the beach. I recommend the onsite restaurant and the room service. The onsite restaurant is awesome, we went to their brunch which is all you can eat and includes custom omelets and waffles. The last evening we ordered late room service, which was delicious and really fast. The rooms are typical hotel rooms, with nice bathrooms. The parking is also expensive but again worth it. Every time we needed the car it was brought up within minutes. Suggestion: rent bikes and ride the paths, it was a blast. Venice beach is within walking distance also (a mile?) and is always entertaining. One small negative, we were unable to utilize the pool, there were many other guests there, and all the chaise lounges are taken quite early. We will definitely return to this hotel.

  Loved the hotel. Great location for the beach and main shopping area of Santa Monica. Two very small criticisms of the room. The shower curtain needed weights in the hem to stop it billowing and it would have been nice to have proper mugs in the room rather than polystyrene cups. Thanks again for a great visit.

  Loved the hotel. Great location for the beach and main shopping area of Santa Monica. Two very small criticisms. The shower curtain needed weights in the hem to stop it billowing and it would have been nice to have proper mugs in the room rather than polystyrene cups!

  This hotel is right on the beach. It has beautiful modern rooms and a great restaurant. You can sit outside with a view of the Pacific and enjoy drinks by the pool. We rented bikes at the hotel and cycled down to Venice Beach.
