the staff and accommodations are simply wonderful. A short walk to the convention center. Our only complaint was with the speed of the internet connection. It was painfully slow. The bed was, for us, a little too soft, but we prefer a pretty firm mattress.

We have stayed here several times over the years and were surprised to see that the rooms have the exact same decor that they had a few years ago. Run down and shabby looking. They gave us a wheelchair accessible room, which was huge, but the bathroom was hideous, not very clean and lacked counter space. The room had one king sized bed, and although their advertising claims they have rollaway beds, they could not or would not provide us with one. (They said it was a fire safety issue, which was funny since my husband is a building inspector and pointed out the the room could have safely held 3 rollaway beds without being remotely ""a fire safety issue""). Anyway, they said they would bring us up as many blankets, pillows & sheets as needed to make a bed for our child, but we had to call down and ask for them 3 times with no results. Finally, at around 10pm, my husband went down to the front desk and returned with 1 extra pillow, 1 extra sheet & 1 extra blanket. We ended up letting our child sleep with us in the bed, which was old, lumpy, and had something hard jamming into me all night. Ten, even 5 years ago, this was a nice little hotel, but it is in serious need of revamping. We are moving on, and will stay elsewhere next time we go to Long Beach. Since I don't like to be entirely negative, I will list the following good things about the hotel: Coffee and tea in the lobby was nice & they had a large ice water container with sliced oranges in the lobby also. We thought the $10 per day parking was very reasonable for Long Beach.

Nice place and pleasent staff and very clean! From the front desk to the room staff all were great. A little too much noise compared to my normal stays. Maybe due to all the swim meet teens that were staying at the same time? I would stay with them again for sure.

Stayed here one night for a attending a company cruise party at the shoreline yacht club. Excellent location. 10 minutes drive from the long beach airport and walking distance to the piers. Room was clean and spacious. Staff at front desk was very nice although house-keeping staff not so much. Overall a good experience and would surely stay here again. A little over-priced in my opinion.

We truly enjoyed our stay; the staff are friendly. My husband took our son to the park and the aquarium. They are all within walking distance. In addition, Broadway is extremely close for anyone interested in the night life. The hotel"s gym offers light weights and cardio equipment, so you can get a decent workout while there. The beds are very, very comfortable, but the towels are ridiculously hard.
