This Days Inn is really a decent place to stay for the price. We were looking for a room close to the airport and close to the cruise terminal. You could walk to the port from the hotel. It wasn't the fanciest place, but the rooms were nice and they were clean. The front desk was quite helpful with suggestions for places to eat and places to see.

  • Good bargain for the price.

The Days Inn was very convenient and met our needs. We flew into San Diego a day early so we would be in town to get on a cruise ship. Days Inn provides a FREE shuttle from the airport to the hotel (call them and the hotel will tell you which shuttle to get on), plus a FREE shuttle to the cruise ship terminal (sign up when you register at the hotel). The hotel has been remodeled and the rooms are quite adequate and nice. It is walking distance to the marina /port which is very picturesque (wonderful sunset), plus walking distance to a few restaurants. Since the hotel is in the harbor area, the hotel is near railroads. One or two trains did go by but not during the middle of the night. The hotel was not a luxurious hotel, but the staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and well equipped. I had no problems and if in the area again, I would stay there.

We had to stay in San Diego for 3 days, and chose the Days Inn. The room was spacious enough for two adults, and came with 2 queen size beds, a microwave, coffee maker, plasma TV, alarm clock, and small fridge. The fridge did not work, but management came up within 10 minutes to replace it. The sink is in an alcove outside of the bathroom. The linens and towels were clean, and plentiful. The 4 pillows on each bed were VERY soft and comfortable. The room okay, but a bit dark. Our room was quite musty until we got the air conditioner going. The exterior walkways seem a bit rundown. We were on the third floor, and some of the nearby rooms are undergoing renovation, so there is dust and workmen near the elevator. Did not eat the complimentary breakfast, but there is a Dennys a block away. For light sleepers, the Amtrak sounds do come through the windows. The motel is very convenient to public transportation (trolleys, buses), the harbor, and the airport (10 minutes away via shuttle).

I was in San Diego for the burial of my sister. This Day's Inn is an insult to the overall quality that I have experienced through the Days' Inn Hotels. This must have been a privately owned facility. The "hotel lobby" was more like a sleeze bag motel where people check in for illicit "One nite stands." The hotel "desk clerk" was rude when asked if the room had Internet access (joke). There was no furnishings in the "hotel lobby." The door leading to our building was in need of repair and it took us eight (8) separate tries to get the key to work in order to gain access. The hallways were not clean and carpet was worn. I will never stay at this facility again. I checked out the next day, and did not stay the two nights as planned.
