This visit was a repeat of ours to this hotel. It is a great location right on the Torrey Pines course, and out of the way of a lot of traffic so we liked it. First time we were there they were doing some construction, and it was done when we arrived this time - all looked great. One of the things that drew us to the hotel was the rate for the location, however when you add in the things that are now free at some hotels, the rate isn't so great. You are charged $* per day PER computer connection for internet - not per room - per connection. For us, because I was doing work as was my husband, that tacked $*a day onto our rate. Parking is $* a day - whatever, but the silly thing that was changed in our recent visit from the last visit was they had removed the refrigerators from the rooms. When we called to ask what happened, we were told they could bring a small refrigerator to our room for $* for our stay. Not a lot of money in the grand scheme, but the concept to us was ridiculous so we refused. Though we like the location, we thought some of those things were a bit ridiculous and will do further investigation before we settle on a spot next time we go to LaJolla, and we go quite often.

Rather than stay at Motel 6 and such every night, I book discounted rooms at travel websites at premium hotels for some nights, more for trying to get a peaceful, quiet room to sleep than for all the fancy amenities, etc. This place sure 'filled the bill' on this account! A great place to stay, right on Torrey Pines Golf Course (and a quiet night's rest).

The location is the main selling point of this hotel. Close to the ocean, La Jolla, and on the Torrey Pines golf course, it is a perfect spot to be near it all. The hotel itself sits a little far back to be able to see the ocean, and I must say that the rooms were terribly dated. From the popcorn ceilings, to the stained carpet and the weathered bathrooms, I didn't feel like it was a Hilton. They were in the process of reconstructing the lobby, and the noise was a bit annoying, although we could not hear it in our rooms. I felt they should have been refurbishing the rooms before anything else.

Although the hotel was under a very large construction/remodel that we were NOT informed of in advance...the stay was very pleasant. In fact, we could not hear the jack hammer once we got in the elevator. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The online discount for the room was great! Try the prime rib buffet, it was extrememly good and a very reasonable price. I would love to stay here again!

We had a family vacation in SoCa for 4 daysl. We visited Sea world, and that's why we stayed 2 nights at this hilton. The service was really nice, including the front desk and room service. Not surprisingly, the parking was not included which is $ per stay. However, during our stay, they had this package which included parking+breakfast for 2+internet access in room+ phone call. The package is about $ per stay. Since I needed the internet, parking, and breakfast, so we took the package. The bright side of the stay was, the total expense at hilton (room+package) was less than our stay at the Holiday Inn Express near Disney. We had four people, and we only had 4 breakfast voucher, so we saved it to our second morning. Well, the breakfast looked good, but not delicious. Our room was on third floor, and we had a good view, nicely quiet. We could clearly see the sea, the gold course, and sunset... We even walk down the pave to the golf course and took some photos. Generally we had a beautiful experience at this hotel!
