01/29/2011We stayed in the non resort part of the hotel. our room had a kitchen with microwave, stovetop with 2 elements for cooking, full refrigerator, toaster, coffeepot, plates, dishes, silverware, ...
We stayed in the non resort part of the hotel. Our room had a kitchen with microwave, stovetop with 2 elements for cooking, full refrigerator, toaster, coffeepot, plates, dishes, silverware, pots and pans and everything you need to prepare meals in the room. The Murphy bed was less than comfortable but we could live with that. We took two chairs from the kitchen bar and made headboards for the bed which worked out well. Sitting on the balcony with a beer and listening to Mexican music and eating chips and salsa while watching waves breaking on sandy shores…man life doesn’t get much better. We did eat meals out as well but it was nice having the option to make our own. The price of these rooms are much less than the resort rooms so if you can handle the Murphy bed I would suggest that this is the way to go. Hope this helps.

Although the hotel was having some issues with mold which caused us to move rooms, we had a great time enjoying the pool & restraunt. We did alot of activities off the property as well. The safes did not work in the rooms & we had a credit card copied while we were there but luckily the bank noticed quickly so don't bring any cards or cash you can't carry with you.We had an excellent package thru Travel agency. We have seen the same resort in other vacation programs for $* per person more per week so we are very happy with our Travel agency deal. Watch out for the time share people at the airport!!!! They are super agressive and lie to you!!!! Overall we had a great time and we would go back again. Thanks Travel agency.

We stayed at the Sheraton Buganvilias not realizing it was associated with a time-share. We were constantly hasseled to take the tour. We were told there was an adult pool and never found it. Every pool had screaming kids in it; one even had a naked little girl running around. We called downstairs and requested a wake-up call and never received it. When we inquired as to why not we were told repeatedly they called us. We tried to enjoy the beach and were constantly being mobbed by people selling stuff who wouldn't take NO for an answer. The TV programs were in spanish, the toilet made a screeching sound each time it was flushed, the tub wouldn't drain, and the turn-down service was overlooked more times than done. I would recommend staying anywhere else.

I thought we were getting a great deal for the hotel, but you get what you pay for. Our "ocean view" room was infront of a HUGE restaurant with maybe 15% view of the ocean. The room was not decorated, with white walls and one yellow wall. The water from the bathroom shower smelt like mineral hot spring and clogged everytime. The A/C unit (which was not A/C, it blew out cooler air than outside) was so loud that I had to wear earplugs every night and our clothes were damp from the "A/C unit". We moved rooms the next day and was still the same thing, but our view was a little better. For it being low season and the hotel was pretty empty,

We had always wanted to stay at the Sheraton Buganvilias but never had the chance. The front desk was helpful upon check-in and our room was available. We chose a Club Level room which included the extra benefit of the lounge for continental breakfast and afternoon wine and snacks. The butler service was outstanding on the Club Level. There were only 2 negatives at the Sheraton- the loud party the first night that went on until 4am and the pushiness of the time share. Food was delicious, room was immaculate, and pool was clean and quiet. Close to town so we were able to safely walk to dinner at night.
