We spent 12 nights at the Pacific Shores Inn and enjoyed our stay there. The room was very clean and modern as were the bathrooms. No tub, just a very large (and very nice) glassed in shower which was great for us. The housekeeping crew did a terrific job every day and were very polite. The breakfast was just what they promised. Pastries, coffee and juice. Lots of bars, restaurants a short walk away, and the beach maybe 2 football fields away. Next time, I will ask for a room closer to the pool and one with a table outside the door. The rooms by the office are pretty close to the busy street but our windows were closed because of the cool nights. If you are super picky, need a weight room and a buffet breakfast, then go to a 200.00 a night hotel. If you want a comfortable place to stay at an affordable rate, with friendly staff, then the Pacific Shores is the place.

Just from walking in the room it appeared to be nice (alot nicer than the outside!) except for the carpet it looked dirty & had stains everywhere. The bathroom is very small. I was traveling with my husband & my 3 year old & 1 1/2 year old. There was no bathtub - my 1 1/2 year old had never taken a shower so it was hard. Then there is no shower curtain so water would get all over the floor in the bathroom. My husband asked the front desk if we could switch rooms & they were not very helpful. I think that area is more for people traveling without children. At night you could hear people walking by - one night we could even people arguing a couple rooms down from us. I just don't think its a place to stay with small children. We will not be staying there again

We checked in and were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. It had two queen size beds and a nice breakfast table with dressor, large Flat screen TV Microwave and a good size mini Fridge. Even with all this there was still plenty of room for the playpen we brought for our baby to sleep in. They even had a very large walk in closet where we put our full size ice chest in. The restroom was small but nice. Even though the room was a bit dated the beds were very comfy and the bedding very clean. The carpet on the other hand did not feel very clean so bring house shoes if you are picky.They even provided us plenty of extra pillows. Also the room had nice large windows and a nice little patio with a table and chairs. We could even see the ocean a tiny bit from our patio. The pool was just awesome it was heated and was actually nice and warm they even had a BBQ grill if you wanted to use it all you had to do was ask. They provided pasteries, and coffee in the lobby each morning which was nice. The location was great a very short walk to the beach and a really nice boardwalk. Overall a great location for familes since it is not in the crazy hustle and bustle of mission beach. I would highly reccommend this hotel to families since it is such a great value and a awesome location. Can't wait to stay again with my family.

I have stayed here several times over the last 11 years and this place is the best value for your dollar. Great location and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The room I stayed in had been remodeled, nothing fancy but clean and nice. You can walk to the beach, restaurants and stores. I do not even rent a car when I visit. This makes for a bargain trip, this way I can afford to visit often. I have never had a dirty room here or a horrible experience. If you are not looking for anything fancy, but location and cleanliness are important, I would definitly recommend this hotel. I know I will be back!

We were steps from the boardwalk and beach. The room was recently remodled and looked wonderful. Very clean. We had everything we needed. The sink was draining slowly and they fixed it ASAP. The pool was crystal clear, clean and inviting. They keep the simple continental breakfast stocked nicely. Employees were all friendly and helpful. We stayed 5 days 4 nights and felt like we were at home. With the windows open and the beach breeze drifting through it was so relaxing. They were repairing/replacing A/C units during our visit so at certain times of the day there were workers outside the window talking a little loud but they had to do their job. It's not such a huge complex that it's crowded and busy. They had no vacancies but you wouldn't know it. It was real calm. The pool was never crowded. We also got such a great price through Travel online that made it even better. We added a night to our stay and Travel online's price had gone up but the hotel matched the great price we had reserved a month before for our other nights. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others as well.
