We stayed here for only one night and it was perfect for being in the Gaslamp area of town. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance, so you don't have to drive to dinner, and there is valet parking available, or you can use one of the lots next door. Continental breakfast is on the roof deck, which has a great view of the city, and it was included and perfectly adequate. We would stay again.

I stayed on a Wed night. The live music from the bar across the street was quite loud all night. The room had a strong smell of cleaning products - like the bathroom at a gym or a hospital. Turning on the A/C fan helped both issues, but not entirely. Location is good. Room was spacious and clean.

This hotel not only had a history, but its services and location were spectacular! You are right in the Gaslamp, but not so far into that there is no quiet! We took our two year old and she loved it! Walked everywhere!! Only small problem is that the rooms arent sound proof so you can hear everything in the hallways as well as outside, but not enough to really complain during our stay, which was the fourth of July weekend!! It was great I will be back in August for the APA Convention!!! Also, there is no pool...

This hotel was such a bargain. Perfect location--5 blocks to the convention center, one block from a beautiful outdoor mall, and more bars and restaurants than you can imagine. Taxi from the airport was about $*. Small fridge in the room, old-fashioned high ceilings, sitting area, all made my stay very cozy. The breakfast wasn't anything amazing, but perfect to save some money if you just want to grab a piece of fruit and a bowl of cereal. Lovely sitting area on the roof to eat and enjoy the weather. Because you are in such a popular area, it does get noisy at night (ever noticed how much louder people get when they drink?), but I found if I just turned on the bathroom fan for background noise I was able to sleep like a rock. I would definately stay again for next year's conference!!!!
