This place is simply incredible. The word quotpalacequot in the name does not do it justice. The whole property is beautifully landscaped and meticulously maintained. Staff is everywhere day and night constantly wiping sweeping vacuuming polishing cleaning everything. This place is spotless everywhere just like DisneyWorld! There are so many pools I could not count them all and I dont even think I was able to find them all. Plenty of professionally supervised activities #40including a movie theater screening Disney movies#41 for kids down to age 4. This gives Mom Dad more private time at the adult pools. There are also all kinds of adult activities like yoga classes a fully-equipped gym aqua aerobics water volleyball etc. to keep you busy all the time or you can just relax in peaceful quiet surroundings at one of several adult pool areas. All day barbeque in the pool area. Service in all the restaurants was outstanding and the food was great. Security cops were everywhere. Poolside service was attentive and frequent. The buffet always open has a selection of Mexican food and everybodys favorite American things to choose from. During breakfast the omelet station will prepare eggs waffles and pancakes to your liking. The staff is very well-trained to European standards not intrusive but always attentive. Nightly entertainment is something different every evening and begins promptly at 9:00 PM in an outdoors theater near the beach. There are several snack and gifts shops. This place is all-inclusive so all food and drink is included. With so many restaurants to choose from #40some of the specialty restaurants require reservations and more formal attire for evening meals#41 there is no need to leave the property for anything. Rates are very competitive with other properties around Manzanillo. You wont go wrong at the Karmina

We were treated like royalty. Walk into a fairytale land where all your dreams are real. Our daughter got married here, everything went perfect! The price was unbelievably low! We had 33 guests from the USA. We spent 11 nights & 12 days in this paradise where your fridge is replenished and your room is cleaned daily. It was unbelievable how comfortable the beds are. The food was Excellent. there are different places to choose from on-site to eat. This is an all-inclusive resort so unlimited food & drinks are free. Security is tight so you can relax and not worry. The property is gated off and there are guards at the front entrance as well as alot of security walking around. You can enjoy a different show each night. Lots of activities including pool games.A couple Local venders are on-site to sell you their hand-made gifts. Massages are not included but very reasonable and are of high quality. You can take a tour or rent a car to experience real Mexico. There are many different excursions..Fishing, Snokeling, Siteseeing. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff for working so hard to make our trip memorable, relaxing and stress-free. From the Wedding set-up, flowers and decor,DJ,Cake,Catering and servers to the lovely jester of surprising our daughter and new Husband when they returned to their room with a bubblebath,chocolate covered strawberries,Rose pedals leading to the master bedroom with a beautifully decorated bed with swans. It was awesome and a Wedding that will never be forgotten. Beautiful oceanview rooms. The ground and pools are kept immaculately clean. Treat yourself to a once in a lifetime unforgettable vacation, You're worth it!

Our trip will was everything we had hoped for and more. Our daughter's wedding was picture perfect. Both sides of the families came from out of the country and from Mexico. All our guest had such a great time. There was never a dull moment. The food was GREAT! Everyone at the hotel treated us like family. They were so helpful. The rooms were large and very clean and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful, with flowers and trees through out. The entertainment was very nice too. The swimming pools were great. There was plenty of lounges for everyone around all the pools. The disco was a fun spot to go to at the end of the day. I wish I could have stayed for many more days. My husband and I can't wait to go back in the near further.

Wow! This place is awesome. We can't wait for next march! We stayed for 5 days(My husband, daughter and I) We were planning her Wedding for March 2009. This Hotel offers it ALL for a reasonable price. The food was great, staff was friendly, very clean, the beds were more comfortable than any I have ever slept in at a resort/Hotel. Lots of activities for everyone. Room service was excellent. We spent 3 days going to all the other resorts comparing prices,cleanliness,friendliness for our daughters wedding and found Barcelo Karima Palace to be the very best by far. We spent a couple of hours in the lobby listening to the piano, atmosphere was bright,clean,comfortable and relaxing. Pools were clean, service at the pools was great. The Disco was fun,loud and lively. The grounds were kept immaculately clean and very beautiful. The staff was always courteous and friendly.The ocean room was very large with 2 beds and a couch bed, 2 TV's, very large bathroom with separate tub and shower.Housekeeping kept our room very clean everyday! I would like to thank Mildred & Gabrel personally for being so helpful in planning our daughters wedding at Barcelo. We got to witness a wedding in progress and it was just beautiful. I am a picky person but can find absolutely no faults at this Hotel. I recommend it for everyone. If you travel alone the security is very tight so you won't have to worry. If you travel with children...no worries. Check-in to your room and be prepared for a memorable fantasy vacation.

The Barcelo is ok if you simply want to sit by a crowded pool and drink all day every day. Alot of guests do just that, but with two young daughters we were searching for activities. There are really only a few activities available such as kayaking, spanish language, etc. Forget snorkeling in the hotel's little bay as that is where the hotel discharges their sewage. The pools were dirty and very cold. The worst was hotel guests apparently stake out the available pool chairs before 0700 by leaving personal belongings on the chairs. As a result there is no where to sit but lots of empty chairs with items on them all day. One day the resort rented out the facility to cruise ship guests and the entire facility including pools, beach were absolutely packed. The meals were ok, nothing horrible nothing special. It seemed to us that the resort staff were either extremely helpful and pleasant or absolutely lazy with no in between. House cleaning was poor every day. This was the fifth Mexican all inclusive resort we had used and felt it was the worst.
