  This place is a dump! No air conditioning!!! There was SAND in our bed. My kids slept on a hidaway bed. Their mattress sagged in the middle and drooped at the foot. The mattress was stained. The tile in the bathroom was old and there was NO WATER PRESSURE in the shower. We were put in a room on the bottom floor. The only ventilation the room had was a box fan unless we wanted to sleep with the sliding door opened and a window that opened up the back/side of the hotel. There is a youth hostel right next door which had some pretty shady characters hanging out on the boardwalk. We were supposed to stay 4 nights..we left after one and went to another hotel, paid the same amount of money (maybe a few bucks cheaper ) and had a/c and safety! Wouldn't put my worst enemy here. Way to much money for what you get. The pictures of the room are not accurate!!! Very small and hot!!!

  We were here for Spring Break at first I was nervous about the jillion kids on the beach. But we went to dinner came back at 9:00PM and it was completly cleared out. It made for a wonderful walk on the beach hand in hand. And even though there were kids staying at the hotel we never heard 1 of them all night.

  Nice hotel and very friendly staff. Very good location on the beach. We were there at Spring Break and 30,000 students descended on the beach. Thus, the hotel was overbooked and we spent the first night in a very noisy room that was subpar for other reasons (e.g., next to the dumpster that is emptied at 6:30 am). The next night they put us in the regualr room that was nice for the price and they discounted the first night 50%. However, even in the best room, expect the noise to be substantial if you are there at Spring Break or another holiday.

  Having a view of the ocean was worth every penny. The hotel was within walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go in Pacific Beach. Unfortunately, it was raining, but running in the rain on the boardwalk was invigorating. We were placed next to the laundry room, so it was a bit noisy. The shower was really small, and the bathroom had a window that opened to the outside hallway where people could see in! Otherwise, we loved our stay.

  It was a nice place. The restaurant was great. They need better TV stations. Get Fox News at least. You also need to disclose the $8.00 a day that was charged to us for parking our car. I would have liked to have known about that ahead of time.
