staff is great, complimentary baggage service, We've stayed here before, only down side is no elevator but the price difference is over 100 dollars less than any other hotel, rooms are beautiful but no view, beach is only 100 yards away

08/29/2008I booked my stay at the ""atwater"" for it's 1/2 block from the beach local. the staff is polite,you have to be inshape(no elevator) ...
I booked my stay at the ""Atwater"" for It's 1/2 block from the beach local. The staff is polite,You have to be inshape(no elevator)That's ok,What not was the UGH,GROSS !hairs in the bath tub, no worry the shower was not working !and light bulbs missing in the night stand lamps.The air conditioner even on low was very noisy. I won't be back.

The hotel location was excellent and the staff was friendly and receptive....that's where my positive comments end. I have never had such difficulty sleeping in a hotel in my 22+ years of world travel. Our room was on the second floor facing the street. I had to check several times to see if the window was open because the street noise was so loud and so clear, it seemed as though they were. The street noise (yelling, screaming, golf carts, horns, etc) did not stop until about midnight. Then the internal hotel noise began. The walls are paper thin and if anyone speaks above a normal conversation voice, you hear every word. Apparently we had some young adults staying in our hall that all wanted to socialize until about 3 am. Did I mention, no phone in our room so to complain I had to get dressed and go downstairs to the desk to get some relief. Once the kids settled in, we were finally able to sleep at about 4 am. Aside from that, the mattress was extremely soft and uncomfortable. If I HAD to stay there again, I would not book a room with a street view (if that was possible)....however, we won't be visiting that hotel again.

09/21/2007The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance to restaurants, beach, and marina. staff is courteous and friendly. i would stay here again in the future.
