My kids and I came here 4 years ago, when they were 8, 6 and 2. The older ones were still talking about it four years later, and we went back in March 2011. The appeal of the giant pirate ship kids' pool wasn't what the older kids remembered, but they had a ball at the main pool especially with the activities. My youngest had a fabulous time in the kids' pool. Non stop fun. The main buffet restaurant was good enough, and we had two dinners in the Italian restaurant, which thankfully had a good kids' menu with burgers etc. My first meal there was excellent, the entree second time around was well seasoned but overcooked. Service was very good, the wine only passable. The hotel facilities are good, clean and the staff wonderful. Unfortunately, we allowed one day to be ruined. We took the "Jungle Discovery" tour offered by Tropical Adventures, the tour operator in the hotel lobby, and it was a terrible, wasted day. After six hours in the bus, visiting yet another jewelry store, yet another tequila distillery and yet another overpriced restaurant (none of which did we have the option of leaving), I finally asked the guide when we're getting to the jungle. She answered that we were going back to the hotel now! I asked what happened to the monkeys in the brochure, the jungle exploration, the swim we were told to bring towels along for, and she said it wasn't the "right time of year" for any of those. As I then told the guide, I have been coming to Mexico for 40 years and this was the worst experience ever. She was unapologetic and rude. The other guests on the bus joined me in agreement. Stay away from these guys!

We traveled to the Crown Paradise Club All Inclusive to spend several days over the Thanksgiving Holiday with our two daughters, their husbands, children and in-laws. This is our third visit and it again met all expectations. Lots of activities for all age groups, delicious food and an amazing staff that was very pleasant and helpful at all times. My husband lost his wedding band down the sink in our room and maintenance sent a person who was able to retrieve by dismantling the sink in minutes. We hope to return next year!

I went during the whole Swine Flu scare. I said if the border open, then I'll be there. My wife and I enjoyed the stay. Once we arrived there was a 10-15 min delay with the room, however front-desk guy suggested a drink at the pool side bar, which we did. The rooms were comfortable, nothing special, the floors had a slight damp feel to it. No worries thought, with all the booze I hardly noticed. The food was alright in all three restaurants. The italian one suggests a reservation however, not a real issue if one not made, but do dress in nice(slacks gents). I found myself eating often in the bottom restaurant by the pool area, decent little menu during lunch/dinner. Now stay away from the beer guys. Ugh! Now there is another resort(same chain, more kid friendly though) maybe 50 ft away that offer the good stuff(Bud, Miller, etc) and they offer a GREAT morning buffet. Pool area was relaxing, more so than the beach. The vendors are unrelenting, and do not know what "no gracias" mean, hence me staying by the pool. Yet after 24 hrs you learn and start to take in their stories and suggestions of the area. Shopping on the Malecon was wonderful at the different vendors. Yes, and expect a very light ran shower everyday for about 10 mins in the mountains as the tide comes in, unique and special. The hotel offered a bus tour, not sure if that was promotional/complimentary or not, but worth the time of day and look for the sea food hut! OMG great! FYI :Timeshare tours STAY AWAY!!! not worth the time

This is one of the best hotels for kids I've ever stayed at. The staff was friendly and helpful. The closest thing I have to a complaint is that the buffets don't hold up to some of the other all-inclusives I've stayed at (but they are still quite good).

This place is exceptional. The staff are helpful and attentive and they offer great food, wonderful entertainment and even free babysitting and a great kid's club. We went with our 5 and 7 year old and they could not have loved it more. None of us has any complaints whatsoever. We returned last night and are booking our return trip today. The property is immaculate and the value can't be beat! The splash park is beyond words, the pictures do not do it justice and there were actitivities daily from 9 am on for both the kids and adults.
