This is a older building but has been renovated with modern touches like flat screen TVs and free WI-FI. Very clean, and is in a great location where you can walk to dinner, shopping, Convention Center, etc. I also enjoyed breakfast with coffee, tea, juice, and a nice selection of fruits, and pastries. Appreciate the professional staff. I definitely will return to this boutique hotel. If you are planning a visit to Long Beach and it's also convenient to many other areas of So. California.

The best part of this hotel I feel is the location. I hate driving since I live in NYC so this is like a little bit of home for me. It's small and elegant at the same time. This is a clean place, with great linens. Also free wifi, unlike many other hotels The friendly staff will gladly recommend a place for dinner or drinks, again most are within walking distance. Nice boutique hotel, and look forward to returning.

I only stay at non-chain properties hotel, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Upscale unobtrusive service is matched by the great location. Professional staff also provides a welcoming Cocktail Hour with snacks . While the standard rooms might be a bit too cozy for some, being a single traveler I don’t need lots of room. Also walking distince to many Long Beach Attractions. Well done Varden!
